This interactive program is designed for preschoolers 3-6 years of age of all abilities to provide the opportunity to explore & engage in hands-on learning both with & in the nature through loose parts, living creatures, & creative arts.

Developmental skills such as early numeracy, early literacy, problem solving, higher level thinking, social engagement, emotional intelligence, responsibility, self awareness, fine & gross motor, curiosity, independent play, & creativity are addressed through the activities of this program.

The playgroup will be led by a Early Interventionist specialized in combining nature & the fine arts to facilitate early child development. Areas of emphasis will include wildlife, photography, and arts & crafts. The therapeutic manner in which this group is conducted will allow a focus on the individual interests & developmental goals of each child.


This program is offered on-site at the Well Wilderness Kids Therapeutic Nature Center on Friday mornings from 10-1130am in a seasonal 6-week session. It is limited to 8 children to allow for a small therapeutic ratio.  Playgroup Registration fee: $180 for 6-week session; $35 for single sessions (includes a nutritious snack)

The program is also offered as a private in-home experience that would allow focus on your child’s individual interests & developmental goals. $225 for a 4, 1-hour sessions package (3 in-home, 1 nature-based) or $65 per individual 1-hour sessions.


This program can also be provided as an interactive training program for childcare facilities, preschools, or therapy centers to help guide you with incorporating the marriage of nature, play & learning into your current curriculum.
