Provide your child the opportunity to connect with nature in a therapeutic way this summer!
A growing body of research suggests that psychological and physical health improve for children when they spend time in nature on a regular basis. The Well Wildernes Kids Therapeutic Summer Camps allow children to benefit from nature from a developmental perspective, including but not limited to gross/fine motor skills, visual processing, tactile, & social-emotional. The goal is for each child to experience movement & therapeutic play through all of the senses.
This 3-day camp will provide your child an opportunity to interact & play in a manner that will foster development of physical, social & emotional skills in an environment that is therapeutically structured yet allows a child to naturally learn & interact within their own individual comfort level. Some of the activities will include creating art with nature, circle social time in a tipi, zipline/climbing/swinging, & therapeutic touch with animals.
Upon registration, you will be emailed an application & contacted by a Well Wilderness Kids “Learning Ally” to further discuss any other pertinent information regarding your child. Each camp session is limited to 15 campers to allow for a 3:1 therapeutic ratio. Each camp will be led by a group of pediatric professionals including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Music Therapists & Early Interventionist specialized in pediatrics.
Early Childhood Camp (3-6 year olds) will take place Wed-Fri throughout June & July. June sessions will run 1pm-330pm & July sessions will run 9am-1130am.
Elementary Camp (7-12 year olds) will take place on the last week of June & July, Wed – Fri. June session will run from 9-1130am & July session 1-330pm.
